Location

Brighton

The brief

To push the boundaries – figuratively – on a narrow subdivision in Brighton, to include a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with poolhouse and roof terrace.

The solution

By pushing the house to the southern and northern boundaries, the design was able to maximise the 11m wide site. A 2.5 level wall on boundary conceals an architectural stair, and skylights become a provocative use of light. The robust tones and clean geometries support a considered floorplate with ultimate functionality.
